GreatAmerica Financial Services teamed up with CompTIA to support Ticket to Tech, a new program to help ConnectWise partners connect with a talented new crop of job-ready tech learners seeking employment, with a generous contribution of $10,000. GreatAmerica is the largest independent, family-owned national commercial equipment finance company in the U.S. and is dedicated to helping manufacturers, vendors, and dealers be more successful and keep their customers for a lifetime by offering technology equipment financing.
To spread the wealth, $1,000 will go to the first 10 ConnectWise, IT Nation Evolve partners who place a candidate through the Ticket to Tech program. The $1,000 will go toward the hiring costs of bringing on an apprentice.
“When we found out about this program, we knew we wanted to provide our support as we recognize how time-consuming and costly it is to hire, train, and foster a new hire,” says Lori Berry, Director, Strategic Technology at GreatAmerica Financial Services.
Her colleague, Taylor McDonough, IT Nation Evolve Team Lead, adds, “we are invested in the growth of the IT Channel and know that growth stems from educating, training, and cultivating the next generation of talent. They are our future.”
GreatAmerica has long been an advocate of the IT Channel, participating in IT Nation Evolve for over 12 years. Their involvement within the IT Nation Evolve Community allows them to engage in peer-to-peer conversations, learning about and better understanding the needs of the community members.
"We deeply appreciate GreatAmerica joining the effort to expand the tech workforce not only with dollars but in helping us share the message that we want to help employers fill their talent gap," said Amy Kardel, senior vice president of strategic workforce relationships, CompTIA.
“I am thrilled to see GreatAmerica stepping up and setting an example for others in our industry to support this important program. Leaders like GreatAmerica will help CompTIA continue to pursue our mission to unlock the potential of any individual who wishes to work in tech,” said MJ Shoer, Chief Community Officer, CompTIA.
If you would like to Pay it Forward like GreatAmerica and help invest in the next round of tech learners, please visit www.comptia.org/t2t. GreatAmerica hopes to build on this initial phase of the program with new donations to support additional talented newcomers to the tech profession. When you donate, you are not only helping job-seekers train for a rewarding career, but you are also helping to break the cycle of recirculating existing tech talent and not having a deep enough pipeline of new tech talent. 100% of your donation will be reinvested to train the next group of learners by CompTIA.
