GreatAmerica Awards Local Nonprofits $250k through Employee Advised Fund

Fund is an Important Component of Newly Branded GreatAmerica Gives Back Initiative

GreatAmerica Financial Services Corporation® announced today that its Employee Advised Fund completed its annual fall 2024 pledge to the community by awarding $250k to nonprofits in the Eastern Iowa area. The fund is a key component of a broader initiative GreatAmerica has branded GreatAmerica Gives Back, which encompasses all time, talent and treasure the company and its team members dedicate to philanthropic efforts for the communities they serve.

The $250k funded is the second of two giving cycles in 2024. Additionally, GreatAmerica awarded over $600k from their Donor Advised Fund in the last year for over $1.1 million benefitting Cedar Rapids and surrounding communities in 2024.

GreatAmerica employees make charitable giving decisions through the Employee Advised Fund. They vote on nonprofit applications, directly impacting worthy organizations in the community. GreatAmerica CEO, Martin Golobic, commented, “It is heartwarming to see the commitment our team members have for the nonprofits in our community. The Employee Advised Fund is a special component of our overarching GreatAmerica Gives Back initiative, and we are passionate about demonstrating our care for our community.”
